January-September Record in Agricultural Exports

The agricultural sector recorded the highest January-September exports of all time with 26.1 billion dollars.

Agricultural products in Türkiye's exports are in record demand from all over the world.

According to information compiled by the AA correspondent from data provided by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the agricultural sector recorded the highest January-September exports of all time with 26.1 billion dollars.

While exports increased by 3.8 percent compared to the same period last year, the share of the agricultural sector in Türkiye's total exports was 15.7 percent.

Three of the 10 sectors operating in this field realized the highest January-September exports of all time.

Accordingly, in 9 months of the year, the fresh fruit and vegetable sector realized exports of 2.4 billion dollars, fruit and vegetable products of about 2 billion dollars, dried fruits and products of 1.2 billion dollars.

The USA, Germany and the Russian Federation Stood Out in Record-Breaking Sectors

Looking at the countries to which the record-breaking sectors exported the most, the Russian Federation, the USA and Germany stood out.

Fresh fruits and vegetables exported 583 million dollars to the Russian Federation, fruit and vegetable products exported 312.3 million dollars to the USA, and dried fruits and products exported 160.5 million dollars to Germany.

On a provincial basis, the fresh fruit and vegetable sector exported 551.1 million dollars from Mersin, fruit and vegetable products exported 550.6 million dollars from Istanbul, and dried fruit products exported 411.3 million dollars from Izmir.
