It was in 2019 when Rick decided to take it upon himself to design his own grow wall. Driven by the realization that there was a need for a scalable and flexible option to indoor growing, Rick, along with long-time friend and engineer Joe Kapuschion, made the “Harvest Wall” a reality.
Two and a half years later, Harvest Today is now a global manufacturer of indoor grow walls based in Broomfield, Colorado USA. With sales operations in five countries and counting, Harvest Today’s goal of empowering communities all over the world is clear.

Grow walls for anyone
The Harvest Wall is designed to adapt to different applications and user needs. “Think of a brick wall with rows and columns linking together to build a vertical surface,” explains Rick.
A grow wall can be created by horizontally and vertically locking the tiles with each other. This is what makes the Harvest Wall scalable to virtually any size the client needs.” Whether it is a commercial farm or one for personal use, Harvest Today is will work with all types of customers and fill needs.

97% less water
The main feature of the Harvest Wall is the tile. The tile contains six grow ports in front and Vertigation™ channels at the back that ensure every plant in the wall gets watered consistently. The wall uses 97% less water was one of the main design priorities and this has been achieved by the patented water flow channels on the inside of the Harvest Wall.
A Harvest Wall can have as many as 720 ports to accommodate a variety of crops. The footprint of a MEGA Harvest Wall measures only 102-inches (2,6m) wide and 74-inches (1,9m) tall.
"With a simple closed-loop plumbing system, the Harvest Wall has minimal points of failure and is easy enough for kids at school to understand,” says Rick.

Easy growing
To most people outside the vertical growing industry, indoor farming is still a concept of the future. Since the start of 2020, Harvest Today’s goal has been to empower communities all over the world to have access to locally grown nutrient-dense food.
“In designing the Harvest Wall, we wanted to achieve a wall that can easily be shipped and set up in even the most remote communities,” explains Rick.
